We use Social Media for everything today! From buying a car, to putting together the perfect interview attire, there is a group, a board and even a tweet out there to help you! With all of us planning our lives around social media, it’s no wonder we now look to it to plan important “life events” such as parties, showers and even weddings.
If you have a unique venue or party planning service, utilizing social media to guide your customers and potential customers is a must! Help them find you and present them with ideas that they just can’t resist for their next party. Helpful content like tips and crafts will certainly increase engagement and direct potential clients to your door.
If you offer a events planning or a venue, and seem to be having a bit of trouble building a prominent social media presence, here are some tips that can help get your foot in the door.
- Post Pictures of Your Brand
Potential clients want to see pictures of YOUR actual work. Post your best work, show yourself or product off and leave clients with the mindset of “I have to have this for my party!” - Incorporate Photos of “What’s possible” with your venue or services
Many people are planning their party solely of off social media now. They scour the internet (Pinterest, so be there) for hours finding the perfect favors, linens, invitations, food and activities for their party. Give the client an idea of what you can do with a particular theme or color scheme. - Spend Some Time Organizing Engaging Posts
Followers love to engage in posts. Ask questions such as, “Which theme do you love most?” and give them three choices to choose from. Or, you may want to ask, “Which cookie do you prefer at a party, almond or vanilla?”
With the thousands of pins, tweets and posts for event planning services and venues, you are probably wondering, “What can I do to set my brand apart from the others?”. As a mom, wife and someone who loves to plan a party for anything, I can tell you it’s all in how you present yourself and customer service. These are some great ideas on how you can set yourself apart from all the other similar brands:
- Post Vivid Photos
This may not be the best time for your IPhone camera. Although these cameras are pretty good, it doesn’t necessarily show your brand in the best light. You may want to consider getting a nice camera to photograph your venue, supplies or services. Get a crash course in photography here. - Ask For Client Submissions
Ask clients to submit photos of them in the venue or using your supplies and accessories. And by all means, actually post them to your page! Clients love to see that you care about them long after the party is over. That, my friends, will gain you devoted fans who refer others to you time and time again.
We just can’t seem to put social media down these days. It’s no surprise that we flock to it to pull off a perfectly flawless event. With some well thought out posts and photos, and truly serving your clients with professionalism, you can bring your brand to the top of party planning vendors. Most of all, be happy to serve your clients and excited about your product! After all, you are in the most exciting industry out there- parties!
